February 21

Serve 253 is a powerful evening full of opportunities to impact lives through serving, all across the community. A variety of areas to SERVE are offered, both on-campus and out in the 253. Serve 253 occurs monthly, the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM. We gather to pray and hear about that month’s opportunities before enjoying the evening making new friends, while we make a difference!



Northwest Furniture Bank: This organization helps people transition out of homelessness and provides furniture for those in need. Join us as we assemble furniture and sort through donations. Led by: Jerri Turner

The Sanctuary: Help us clean and organize at our new Life Center campus in North Tacoma. Led by: Jason Johnson

Tacoma Rescue Mission: Come play games with the families at the Adams Street rescue mission a completed background check is required. Led by: Andy Nelson

Olive Crest foster family: We will be providing pizza and playing games with a family with 5 foster boys- ages 13-18. Maximum amount of volunteers is 3 and a completed background check is required. Led by: Antonio McLemore

Bless a Church: Let’s bless True Vine COGIC with some cleanup in their sanctuary! Led by: Marvin Boyd


Law Enforcement bags: Help us support those who protect and serve our community by preparing fun goody bags and letters. Led by: Madison Knoll

Nurse Packs: Let’s bless the trauma nurses at St. Joseph’s hospital with fun treats and notes of encouragement.
Led by: Heather Isaac

Homeless bags: We are packing homeless care bags with cold weather accessories, water and snacks. Take some with you to deliver to those in the community who are without shelter.
Led by: Nate Birdine

World Relief: Let’s encourage the refugees that are in holding by writing encouraging notes and scriptures.

Lincoln Basketball packs: Help us say “Good Luck” to the Lincoln boys’ basketball as they compete in state tournaments this month by preparing fun bags with snacks and goodies. Led by: Zach Stocking

Life Center Air Duct cleaning: Help us clean up the air quality on our Life Center campus. Led by: Don Rogers

Dr. John Trent is an award-winning, best-selling author and speaker.He has published more than 20 books, including The Blessing which has over 2 million copies in print.He has spoken all over the world including to 75,000 men at Promise Keepers, and even had a guest appearance on Opera.He currently lives in Arizona, and runs StrongFamilies, a ministry dedicated to helping others find joy, restoration and connection in their most valuable relationships – starting with Jesus.

Annual Business Meeting

February 28

Join us for our Annual Business Meeting for a night to celebrate our accomplishments of 2016, hear exciting plans for 2017, vote in the new board members and to vote on a minor enhancement to the Bylaws. Voters’ pamphlets with bios of the year’s nominees and bylaws are available at the Welcome Center. Bring your family for a dessert social following the 7pm meeting. She Bible Study

January 10 – March 21

She Soiree

June 30

This year SHE Soiree is featuring special guest Pastor Kimberly Jones-Pothier. come out for a night of shopping, food trucks, pampering, a photo booth, live music and enjoy delicious treats at the celebratory after party. Childcare will be available for children 11 yrs and under for $5 per child the night of the event. (Family maximum of $10)

Marry Me Weekend

July 21 – July 22

Free Marry Me weekend will be on July 21 & 22 2017. We offer a solution for couples who want to get married and fully understand the commitment, but for various reasons, can not plan their ceremony. Contact Sarah Nordlund for more information.
